When Will The Killing Season End?

There's too many unsolved crimes in America. Which is ironic to even proclaim because there's too many solved crimes in America as well.   Crime has literally become a genre of entertainment, we normalize it, even idealize it.  There's 300 episodes of Snapped. We're constantly exposed to sadistic fantasizes lived out.  It's the Serial Killer, not their numerous victims who are remembered and celebrated.  We get acquainted with various paraphilias, sex fetishism, flooded with perversion .  There is gore and skin on the television, in ads, in stories, in movies, in plots.  The Missing White Woman Syndrome term got coined.  Sometime around 2011, 40,000 different unidentified human remains existed in various medical examiner and coroner offices in the US.   Recently I binge watched A&E's The Killing Season  - and again was faced with the quandary of living in a contemporary society where mass shootings, school shootings, the lone sniper going postal is
