Girls Gone Wild (poem)

On June 12th MySpace apparently did a complete upgrade and it appears that all blogs and photos are lost to anyone who participated with that particular social networking site.  However I just found this article online and this guy shows you how to retrieve some of what was lost  http://www.jimyounkin.com/2013/06/how-to-possibly-recover-your-deleted.html   but for me it's only showing me my last four posts. I read rumors that MySpace didn't really delete everybody's pictures, comments, and blogs, that they're just in a transition period trying to figure out what to do.  This transition period probably also explains why I couldn't even sign into my profile for the last few months and it was only when I visited my url directly did I discover it seemed all my years of musings and poetry were gone, a few Google searches confirmed the worst. Crossing Blurred Lines: A Music Video Review of Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines'

The lyrics to 'Blurred Lines' are exciting, empowering for the female libido, and question if the idea of womanly monogamy is really a naturally occurring tendency or a socially constructed normative.  These set of lyrics : "Ok now he was close, tried to domesticate you But you're an animal, baby, it's in your nature Just let me liberate you Hey, hey, hey You don't need no papers Hey, hey, hey That man is not your maker" are very explicit, Thicke is literally saying that your spouse has no ownership over you, that your husband (or domestic partner) is not your personal god that you report to that has dominion over your body.  It's as if he's invoking women to question sexual territories.  Many feminists have argued that marriage is nothing more than institutionalized slavery.  Some of the empowerment that Thicke lends is devalued when he implies he's "gonna take a good girl", again, an issue of compliance and bein...
